Elves, a humanoid race, are generally shorter than their human counter-parts with lithe builds and pointed ears. They are beings of immense beauty and mystery. They were even once believed to be direct descendants of the gods. Generally, they are fair-haired, ranging from silver-blonde to light brown. Their eye tones range from hazel to blue. Much of their cultural heritage and identity was lost after a devastating defeat in The Great War. After The Great War, their few numbers were scattered across Celandine, settling into villages, or clans.

The Elves of Celandine have an average lifespan of 1,000-1,200 years. They reach full maturity at 200 years, where their metabolic rate slows which causes the growth process to nearly freeze for about 800 years. A fertile Elven Woman may have up to 2 children in her entire lifetime with a gestation period lasting 10 years.
